What can be expected?

The school leaver:

  • has professional conduct, presents his or her work, co-creates the company image, can communicate in two foreign languages;
  • has accounting skills and issues accounting documents;
  • is able to negotiate with business partners;
  • can arrange a gastronomic event;
  • can prepare specialties of foreign cuisines;
  • is skilled in the distribution techniques and can coordinate the activities of work teams;
  • draws up menu cards and lists of beverages.

Opportunities for the school leaver

  • The school leaver has general and special secondary education. He or she is prepared for the work at public catering facilities, hotels and restaurants.
  • After gaining the required experience and passing the prescribed exams he or she can operate as a sole trader with the option of choosing from a wide range of opportunities – from own private business to big, established restaurants and hotels.
  • Depending on the study results achieved he or she can continue studies at a college (school of higher education) or university specializing in, for example, marketing, management, tourist trade, etc.
