What can be expected?

  • The school leaver is trained to be skilled in shaving, hair washing, cutting, curling, hot waving, interlaced waving, streaking, dying and bleaching, hair styling including styles for competitions, making simple wigs and hair-pieces, etc.
  • The school leaver can colour the hair creating various shades as well as stripes, remove oxidation dyes from hair, dry hair to create waves (finger wave), make new technological preparations of hair and create difficult hair styles using hair supplements, provide advisory services regarding hair care, etc.
  • The practical training is provided in special workshops equipped with advanced devices and at contractual partners’ work sites.

Opportunities for the school leaver

  • The student successfully passing the final examination prescribed by a national regulation will be able to work as a hairdresser.
  • After gaining the required experience and passing the prescribed exams, if any, he or she can operate as a sole trader with the option of choosing from a wide range of opportunities – from own private business to big, established hairdressing parlors.
  • Depending on the study results achieved he or she can continue studies in follow-up courses in order to pass the “maturita” examination (similar to GCE examination).
